YSRCP has urged the State Election Commission (SEC) to ensure transparency and fairness in the conduct of local body elections. During a meeting with the election authorities, party representatives demanded that votes be counted simultaneously across local constituencies. They also called on the police and administrative officials to remain impartial throughout the election process and ensure that all political parties receive equal treatment.
The party further requested that candidates be allowed to file nominations at collectorates and Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) offices, in addition to the designated centres. It also sought arrangements for issuing caste certificates at government offices to help candidates complete the nomination process without unnecessary difficulties. YSRCP urged the SEC to take effective steps to prevent misinformation and false propaganda on sensitive issues during the elections.
