Five-time FIFA World Cup champions Brazil returned to winning ways with a commanding 3-0 victory over Haiti in Group C. After being held to a 1-1 draw by Morocco in their opening match, Brazil responded strongly and moved closer to securing a knockout-stage berth. Meanwhile, Haiti suffered its second consecutive defeat and became the first team to be eliminated from the tournament.
With Neymar unavailable due to injury, Matheus Cunha stepped up and delivered a match-winning performance with two goals. He opened the scoring in the 23rd minute and quickly added a second before Vinicius Junior netted Brazil’s third goal before halftime. Brazil comfortably controlled the remainder of the match, while goalkeeper Alisson Becker made crucial saves to deny Haiti any comeback hopes. In another Group C fixture, the United States defeated Australia 2-0.
