

The Indian women’s cricket team is fully prepared for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 and the England tour. Led by Harmanpreet Kaur, the squad departed from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport to the United Kingdom. The mega tournament, scheduled to begin on June 12, will be hosted by the England and Wales Cricket Board. Ahead of the World Cup, India will play a three-match T20 series against England from May 28 to June 2, followed by warm-up matches against West Indies and England.
India has been placed in Group B alongside Australia, South Africa, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and the Netherlands. The team will begin its World Cup campaign on June 14 against Pakistan. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the side as captain, with Smriti Mandhana as vice-captain. Key players in the squad include Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma, and Richa Ghosh.
