India produced an impressive bowling performance in the first T20I against West Indies in Lucknow, bowling them out for 171 in 19.1 overs. Shai Hope and Sherfane Rutherford struck half-centuries, scoring 52 and 56 respectively, but India kept picking up wickets at crucial stages to restrict the visitors to a competitive total.
Making his T20I debut, Naman Dhir made an immediate impact by claiming three wickets. Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav also chipped in with two wickets each as India’s bowlers kept the West Indies batters under pressure. India now need 172 runs to win the match.
