Lost One Round, But Still on Top!

Indian chess Grandmaster R. Praggnanandhaa has emerged as the leader in the Rapid section of the St. Louis Rapid & Blitz Tournament. After the completion of all nine Rapid rounds, Praggnanandhaa sits at the top of the standings with 12 points, strengthening his position in the race for the title with a series of impressive performances.

Although he suffered a defeat against Jordan van Foreest of the Netherlands in the ninth round, Praggnanandhaa retained his overall lead. The tournament champion will be decided after the completion of the remaining 18 Blitz rounds, where the final standings will determine the overall winner.
