Argentina football superstar Lionel Messi’s father, Jorge Messi, recently passed away at the age of 68 after a prolonged illness. Deeply affected by the loss, Messi has now shared his first emotional message about his father’s death on social media. He remembered Jorge as not only his father but also his friend and representative, who stood by him throughout his football journey.
Messi admitted that he does not know how to move forward without his father and revealed that he has serious doubts about continuing his football career for much longer. He recalled that Jorge wanted to watch him play at the 2026 World Cup, but his deteriorating health made that impossible. Cristiano Ronaldo also expressed his condolences, sending Messi and his family a message of support during the difficult period.
