

Pacer Mukesh Kumar produced a fiery spell of 6/33 as Rest of India clinched the Irani Cup with a convincing 167-run victory over Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. Chasing a target of 279, Jammu and Kashmir were bowled out for 111 in their second innings on the fourth day, handing Rest of India victory with a day to spare. Shubham (36) and Kamran Iqbal (32) were their top scorers, while Akash Deep impressed with figures of 3/25.
Earlier, Rest of India resumed their second innings at 306/8 and were all out for 319. Overnight batter Ravichandran Smaran added nine runs to his previous score of 135 before being dismissed. Sunil and Sahil picked up three wickets each for Jammu and Kashmir. In the first innings, Rest of India scored 237, while Jammu and Kashmir were dismissed for 278.
