

India batter Shreyas Iyer has made significant progress in the ICC T20I batting rankings after smashing a century in the first T20I against the West Indies. Iyer produced a blistering knock of 102 runs off 43 balls, climbing 18 places to reach seventh position. It is his best-ever ranking in the T20 format and makes him the third Indian batter to achieve his highest-ever position in the format.
Meanwhile, India’s ODI captain Shubman Gill continues to occupy the top spot in the ODI batting rankings. In T20Is, Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma remain among the leading batters, while Tilak Varma is ranked 10th. With four Indian batters in the top 10, India continues to have a strong presence in the rankings. Young batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi also climbed eight places to reach 46th position.
