

The Badminton Association of India (BAI) has announced a strong and balanced squad for the Asian Games 2026 to be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. Two-time Asian Games medalist PV Sindhu and men’s doubles stars Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will lead India’s challenge. The squad also includes top singles player Lakshya Sen along with experienced players H. S. Prannoy and Kidambi Srikanth, forming a strong core for the team championship and individual events.
India’s squad reflects a blend of experience and youth, featuring rising stars like Ayush Shetty, Tanvi Sharma, and Unnati Hooda. Women’s doubles pair Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand also feature prominently. According to the Badminton Association of India, the selection was based on recent performances and rankings. India heads into the Asian Games 2026 with strong momentum after its most successful badminton campaign in 2022.
