AI is transforming jobs, not eliminating them

Artificial Intelligence usage has rapidly increased across industries, with new AI tools emerging every day. While concerns over job losses due to AI continue, a recent report brings relief, suggesting that AI is not eliminating jobs but transforming them. India has emerged as a global leader in AI adoption, with around 41% of employees using AI daily and nearly 80% using it multiple times a week, the highest among all surveyed countries.

Rahul Goyal, Managing Director of ADP India and South East Asia, stated that companies must provide clear career paths and invest in continuous skill development for employees. He emphasized that in service-driven economies like India, where millions work in operational roles, upskilling alongside AI adoption is essential. The ADP Research “People at Work 2026” report highlights that AI enhances decision-making and productivity rather than replacing jobs, based on a survey of over 39,000 workers across 36 countries.
