Apple has introduced new “Child Accounts” aimed at giving parents greater control over their children’s digital activity, announced at WWDC 2026. The system allows parents to manage app access, browsing permissions, communication, and screen usage more effectively.
Key features include Ask to Browse, Ask to Buy, Time Allowances, and a redesigned Screen Time dashboard. The move comes amid rising global scrutiny on Big Tech over child safety and privacy, while age verification policies continue to spark debate among tech companies and regulators.
