Tech giant Apple has significantly increased the starting prices of its MacBook and iPad models in both international markets and India. Compared to their launch prices, the devices have seen a sharp hike ranging between 20 percent and 42 percent, marking one of the biggest price revisions in recent times.
The primary reason behind this surge is the rising cost of memory chips, driven by the rapid expansion of Artificial Intelligence technologies. With increasing demand for advanced computing power and AI capabilities, production costs have escalated, forcing the company to pass on the burden to consumers.
