Apple’s reported new smart home device, HomeView, is designed to bring multiple connected home functions together in a single hub. The device is described as featuring a 7-inch Liquid Retina touchscreen, a button-free design and a speaker base connected through a stainless-steel hinge for adjustable viewing. Its reported facial recognition feature can identify up to six household members and display personalised apps, widgets and calendar information. The device is also said to support Siri voice commands for tasks such as sending messages, updating calendars and playing Apple Music. According to the supplied report, its listed price on Apple’s website is ₹39,900.
HomeView is also described as a central control panel for compatible smart home accessories, including lights, cameras, thermostats, door locks and window blinds. Users could reportedly view live feeds from up to nine cameras, receive security alerts and access shared photo albums, while its audio system is designed to deliver enhanced music playback. The device reportedly uses an A18 chip and Secure Enclave technology to strengthen data protection. Compatibility with supported Apple Home accessories, including products developed with partners such as LG Electronics and Schneider Electric, is also mentioned. The device could be particularly useful for people already using Apple products, although buyers should verify its availability, specifications and compatibility through official Apple channels before making a purchase.
