Google Labs has introduced a new AI-powered application called Dreambeans, designed to provide users with personalized, AI-generated stories based on their daily lives and interests. The app analyzes information from connected Google services such as Gmail, Calendar, Photos, YouTube, and Search history to create a curated collection of lifestyle recommendations, travel ideas, local discoveries, news updates, and other relevant content. Unlike traditional social media platforms, Dreambeans offers only a limited number of stories each day, aiming to reduce excessive scrolling and help users focus on meaningful information.
Powered by Google's Personal Intelligence technology and AI image-generation tools, Dreambeans creates unique illustrated stories tailored to individual users. The platform can suggest activities, places to visit, and personalized recommendations based on a user's habits and preferences. Currently available only to Google AI Ultra subscribers aged 18 and above in the United States, the app emphasizes privacy by allowing users to control connected services and delete their data at any time. Google says Dreambeans is designed to promote "hope scrolling" rather than doomscrolling, offering users a more positive and productive digital experience.
