As concerns grow worldwide over artificial intelligence replacing human jobs, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has highlighted a broader and potentially more serious challenge. He warned that if the wealth, knowledge, and economic value generated by AI become concentrated in the hands of a few companies, it could create significant social and economic risks.
According to Nadella, the impact of AI extends beyond employment concerns. He noted that excessive concentration of AI-driven resources could widen economic inequalities and limit the benefits of technological progress. He emphasized the need to ensure that the advantages of AI are distributed broadly across society rather than being controlled by a small group of organizations.
