AP Secures Top Position in the Country for PM SHRI Fund Utilisation

Andhra Pradesh has emerged as the number one state in the country in the utilisation of PM SHRI funds, according to Nara Lokesh. During a review meeting with education department officials, Lokesh congratulated the officers for achieving the top position. He also directed officials to expedite the distribution of Student Mitra Kits and complete the process before the Mega PTM programme.

The minister instructed officials to take steps for the construction of 844 smart kitchens across the state. He also ordered the installation of bunk beds for 1.06 lakh girls studying in 430 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) and called for immediate action to set up 53,180 bunk beds. Additionally, he directed that Student Kits be distributed to 2.03 lakh students in government junior colleges.

Lokesh emphasized improving learning outcomes and maintaining student attendance above 95 percent across the state. He announced that Telugu Academy books will soon be available online and sold through major e-commerce platforms. The minister also called for special coaching for students lagging behind in mathematics, science, and Telugu, while directing officials to establish computer laboratories with Chromebooks for high school students.
