K. Kavitha has once again made strong remarks about the internal functioning of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), claiming that the party’s survival is largely due to her efforts. In a recent national media interview, she said that during her time in jail, some leaders had even proposed merging the party with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), but she strongly opposed the idea and insisted on protecting the party.
She alleged that she was unfairly blamed for the party’s electoral defeat, stating that the focus during the Assembly elections was on governance failures rather than internal issues. Kavitha also claimed she was sidelined and later suspended without proper explanation, despite her efforts to resolve internal conflicts within the party. She further said that ideological differences, especially her support for the 42 percent reservation for Backward Classes, created tensions within the party.
Speaking on her political future, Kavitha said she had considered multiple options, including BJP and Congress, but found neither suitable. She stated that she would continue her public life independently as she no longer sees BRS as an option. She also criticized political rivals and responded to remarks made by Pawan Kalyan, asserting that Telangana people would reject divisive politics.
