

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has urged the Central Government to establish an “M-6 Task Force” under the supervision of the Prime Minister’s Office to accelerate the development of six major metropolitan cities—Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bengaluru. Addressing the 11th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he proposed an investment of ₹6 lakh crore, with ₹1 lakh crore allocated to each metro city for infrastructure development. He emphasized that quality education, healthcare, skill development, and world-class infrastructure are essential to achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
The Chief Minister also submitted a memorandum seeking immediate approval for seven major projects crucial to Telangana’s growth. These include Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-II, the Regional Ring Road, the Hyderabad–Amaravati–Machilipatnam Port Expressway, Warangal Airport, an IIM in Hyderabad, support for the Musi River Rejuvenation Project, and assistance for the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme. Revanth Reddy highlighted Telangana’s education reforms, including Young India Schools and the Young India Skills University, and reiterated the state's goal of becoming a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047.
