A major diplomatic breakthrough has been achieved as the United States and Iran officially signed a peace agreement, bringing an end to recent hostilities between the two nations. US President Donald Trump announced that the agreement had been finalized and signed by the leaders of both countries during talks held in Paris. The United States also released the 14 key provisions included in the agreement, outlining a roadmap for regional stability and future cooperation.
One of the significant aspects of the agreement is the inclusion of Lebanon in the peace framework. Both nations agreed to halt military operations across all fronts, including Lebanon, and pledged to ease tensions in the region. The agreement also provides for the complete lifting of restrictions in the Strait of Hormuz within 30 days. Notably, Iran reaffirmed its commitment not to develop nuclear weapons in the future, while the uranium issue reportedly received limited emphasis in the final agreement.
