Actress Samantha has been gradually recovering from her battle with myositis, an autoimmune disease, and is slowly returning to the film industry. Her last Telugu outing was Kushi (2023) alongside Vijay Deverakonda. Since then, she has focused on building her own production house, Trilala Moving Pictures, dedicated to telling diverse stories and providing opportunities for talent from all backgrounds.
On her birthday in April 2024, Samantha officially announced her next Telugu project, titled Maa Inti Bangaram. However, updates on the film remained scarce for over a year. Finally, during a recent Instagram Q&A, a fan asked about her next Telugu film, and Samantha revealed, “Finally, I have an answer to this question. Maa Inti Bangaram is finally starting this month.”
Earlier this year, Samantha made her debut as a producer with the film Subham, which performed well at the box office. During promotional events, she emphasized her vision for inclusive and fair filmmaking, saying, “I never say never, but under Trilala Moving Pictures, I believe in equal skill, equal experience, and equal pay.”
Director Nandhini Reddy, who is expected to helm Maa Inti Bangaram, also praised Samantha’s commitment to fairness, stating, “Samantha said she would ensure equal pay for all men and women working on her production, Maa Inti Bangaram, under Trilala Moving Pictures.” Professionally, Samantha also made a cameo appearance in Subham. Her upcoming projects include Maa Inti Bangaram and the ambitious thriller Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom, produced by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. Fans eagerly await Samantha’s return both as an actress and a producer, as she continues to champion meaningful cinema and gender parity in the industry.
