The Telugu film industry is currently witnessing a strong wave of commercial cinema dominance, leading to a noticeable decline in the performance of female-centric films. Anushka’s recent big-budget film ‘Ghaati’ failed to even secure a strong opening, turning into a major box office disappointment. This has raised concerns about the theatrical viability of women-led projects in the current market.
Amid this situation, star actress Samantha’s upcoming film ‘Ma Inti Bangaram’ is gearing up for release this week. The film gains added advantage due to the successful collaboration between Samantha and director Nandini Reddy in ‘Oh Baby’, which was a major hit. However, with changing audience trends, it remains to be seen how the film performs at the box office. Interestingly, the film has already secured around ₹30 crore through non-theatrical rights, placing it in a safe zone where theatrical revenue will be considered a bonus.
