Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena President Pawan Kalyan stated that the controversy surrounding the Jana Sena Navanirmana Sabha in Telangana was neither pre-planned nor intentionally obstructed by the Telangana government. He said he does not believe Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy deliberately prevented the event. Speaking to the media in Amaravati, Pawan Kalyan remarked that had permission been granted, the meeting would have concluded normally without attracting such attention. He clarified that Jana Sena leaders from Telangana have every right to participate in politics in their own state and said his remarks about “whose domain Telangana is” were directed at political leaders discouraging others from entering the state’s political space, not at the people of Telangana.
Pawan Kalyan also urged the Congress leadership to rein in leaders making divisive statements, questioning what message such rhetoric sends to the younger generation. Referring to BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao, he said the two share a cordial relationship and that KTR would not have intentionally made inappropriate comments. The Deputy Chief Minister further emphasized the need to eliminate caste-based hatred in society and announced that Jana Sena would continue raising its voice against social divisions. Criticizing recent discussions on alternative capital proposals, he questioned the rationale behind creating a capital encompassing Machilipatnam, Vijayawada, and Guntur, asking whether such ideas were aimed at facilitating real estate interests rather than serving public needs.
