The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued fresh guidelines regarding the implementation of the new three-language policy. The board clarified that the revised policy will not apply to students currently studying in Class 10. It also confirmed that students currently in Classes 7, 8, and 9 will not be required to take a separate board examination for the third language in Class 10.
CBSE further stated that students opting for two foreign languages must also study at least one Indian language as part of the revised policy. The board added that updated study material aligned with the new guidelines will be released soon to support students and schools during the implementation process.
