Rajinikanth to Skip Jailer 2 Pre-Release Event

Rajinikanth’s much awaited action drama Jailer 2 is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 16, 2026. Advance bookings have opened across the Nizam region, while preparations are underway for the film’s Telugu pre-release event tomorrow at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad. Several prominent cast and crew members are expected to attend the promotional gathering. However, Rajinikanth will reportedly skip the event, surprising Telugu fans. The production team has not yet announced an official reason for his absence.

Music composer Anirudh Ravichander is set to deliver a live musical performance at the event. Director Nelson Dilipkumar, producer S. Naga Vamsi and Anirudh will participate alongside actors S. J. Suryah, Ramya Krishnan, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Mirnaa Menon. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film also features appearances by Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Hrithik Roshan, Nora Fatehi and Poorna. The event is expected to add momentum to the film’s promotions ahead of its release.
