Samantha Ruth Prabhu is one of the many actors who get a little uneasy when they reflect on their early work and see how much they've changed and grown. In a recent interview with the Deccan Chronicle, the actress, who is celebrating 15 years in the business, talked candidly about her challenges, development, and how her viewpoint has evolved. Samantha disclosed that her formative years in the film industry were anything but straightforward. "The majority of the glitzy roles didn't feel like me at first. I was putting too much effort into trying to look, act, and dance like my peers. Those performances seem completely absurd now that I think about them," she said. She also mentioned that she often found it difficult to fit into such roles back then.
Samantha remarked that these 15 years have been incredibly transforming as she reflected on her journey. "Fifteen years is a long time." There are sections that seem to go on forever and others that seem to be a blur. She recalled how she learned everything on her own without mentors or industry connections, saying, "There are movies I watch now and can't believe how bad my acting was but that was my way of learning. "I'm not going to dismiss any of the highs or lows," Samantha continued, discussing how her perspective has changed. However, my excitement for the next fifteen years is even greater. I feel more self-assured and grounded now.
She added that, surprisingly, it feels easier now that she is balancing acting, business, and other endeavors. "Over the past fifteen years, doing only one thing acting was much more stressful than juggling the fifteen different things I do now," she remarked. Regarding her career, Samantha most recently appeared in a brief cameo in Subham. Maa Inti Bangaram, which begins filming on Monday, and Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom, which is being produced by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, are among her next projects.
