BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) strongly criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing him of failing to deliver on promises related to farmer welfare schemes. He alleged that despite earlier demands for extending Rythu Bandhu benefits to a third crop, the current government has failed to provide Rythu Bharosa assistance on multiple occasions. KTR further claimed that funds were released strategically during elections, and the latest release scheduled for the 30th indicates the presence of upcoming polls. He asserted that once BRS returns to power, the controversial urea app would be scrapped. Highlighting past achievements, he said former CM KCR had disbursed ₹73,000 crore under Rythu Bandhu across 11 installments. He also criticized the CM for making frequent visits to Delhi without securing funds for the state.
Speaking at a training program for booth-level agents and party leaders in Sathupalli, Khammam district, KTR said people should reflect on their decision to vote for Congress despite KCR’s warning during the elections. He accused the Congress government of reducing paddy bonus benefits and failing to provide basic facilities like gunny bags at procurement centers. He also challenged the government to fulfill its promise of depositing ₹2,500 monthly into women’s accounts, stating he would quit politics if implemented. KTR alleged that despite key ministries being held by leaders from the Khammam region, the district has seen no real benefit. Several senior leaders, including Puvvada Ajay Kumar and Nama Nageswara Rao, attended the event.
