Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu has sought greater support from the Central Government to accelerate the state's industrial growth and achieve the goals outlined in the ‘Telangana Rising Vision 2047’. During a meeting with Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal in New Delhi on Monday, Sridhar Babu highlighted Telangana’s efforts to build a future-ready industrial ecosystem that can contribute significantly to the national ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’ vision. He submitted a detailed memorandum seeking approvals and assistance for several key industrial and infrastructure projects across the state.
The minister requested priority approval for Phase-1 of the BHAVYA scheme, the establishment of an Aero-Defence Corridor, and a National Design Centre in Hyderabad. He also sought the allocation of two Mega Leather Parks, approval for a Multi-Modal Logistics Park at Manoharabad in Medak district, and financial assistance for an irradiation facility at Koheda under the Trade Infrastructure for Exports Scheme. Sridhar Babu further urged the Centre to restore the import duty on crude palm oil to 44 percent, support logistics infrastructure in Zaheerabad’s Industrial Smart City, and ensure that the entire urea production from the Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (RFCL) plant is allocated to Telangana.
