Not a Progress Report, but a Report of Deception- Sharmila

APCC Chief YS Sharmila Reddy launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, accusing him of presenting a misleading and exaggerated progress report on the coalition government’s two-year rule. She termed the report as the “biggest joke of the decade,” alleging that it reflects failure rather than development. Sharmila criticized the government’s four-point governance model, calling it ineffective and full of false claims on development, wealth creation, balance, and welfare.

She further alleged that the government failed to deliver on key election promises, including pensions, unemployment benefits, and welfare schemes for women, farmers, and marginalized communities. According to her, several schemes were either partially implemented or misrepresented. She also questioned rising debts, unfulfilled investment claims, and financial mismanagement, stating that the government’s performance over two years has been marked by deception and unmet assurances.
