The NEET re-test is being conducted across the country under stringent security arrangements, with authorities taking extensive measures to ensure a smooth examination process. In a notable gesture, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reportedly delayed his journey from Delhi Airport to his official residence after returning from West Bengal, ensuring that students travelling to examination centres would not face traffic disruptions.
According to officials, Prime Minister Modi arrived at Delhi Airport around 1:15 PM and was scheduled to leave immediately for his residence. However, considering that the NEET re-test began at 2 PM, he postponed his convoy movement to facilitate uninterrupted traffic flow for students. Meanwhile, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has deployed extensive monitoring systems, including AI-powered surveillance, over 1.38 lakh CCTV cameras, and more than 51,000 signal jammers to prevent malpractice. More than 22 lakh candidates are appearing for the examination across 5,440 centres in India and 14 overseas centres.
