Three school-going sisters studying in Classes 8 and 9 were safely rescued after allegedly leaving home following conversations with strangers they met while playing the online game Free Fire. According to police, the girls were frequently scolded by their mother for spending long hours gaming. During online chats, unknown individuals allegedly persuaded them to travel to Bihar, promising unrestricted access to online games and multiple mobile phones. Believing the claims, the sisters boarded a train on June 22 from Secunderabad Railway Station without informing their family.
After the girls went missing, their mother filed a complaint with the police. Investigators examined the mobile phone used for gaming and traced digital clues through the game's ID and IP address. Further investigation revealed that the girls had contacted the strangers through Instagram while travelling by train. Acting swiftly, police alerted railway authorities and the Eluru Police in Andhra Pradesh, who intercepted the train and rescued the girls before they could fall victim to cyber criminals. The children were safely reunited with their family, while police urged parents to closely monitor children's online activities and interactions with strangers.
