Apple has unveiled HomeView, a smart home hub designed to bring compatible home devices, entertainment and personalised assistance together in one place. Priced at ₹39,900 in India, the device features a 7-inch Liquid Retina touchscreen, a speaker base and Siri AI voice assistance. It can recognise up to six household members and provide personalised access to apps, calendars and other information. Apple says the device is designed to offer a convenient shared experience while keeping each user's personal information separate. The company has listed both a standard and a wall-mounted version on its Indian website.
HomeView can control compatible smart lights, cameras, door locks and thermostats through touch controls or voice commands. It also supports music playback, photo displays, video calls and live camera feeds from up to nine cameras. Powered by Apple's A18 chip, the device uses Secure Exclaves to process camera and microphone data in a protected environment. It integrates with Apple's Home app and compatible HomeKit and Matter accessories. Apple lists the device as available from November 13, with pre-orders offered on its Indian website.
