Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan stated that freedom of speech is a fundamental right, but it is not an unlimited right. He said the government welcomes constructive criticism and the public's right to question, but strict action will be taken against those who misuse social media to spread personal abuse, death threats, fake allegations, or content that hurts religious sentiments.
He announced that a special cell has been set up in the Deputy Chief Minister's Office to handle social media complaints. Citizens can submit complaints with digital evidence such as screenshots, links, and videos. Pawan Kalyan also warned that if necessary, the government will introduce new laws and a special task force to curb social media misuse while protecting citizens' rights.
